Men behavior towards Men chasing a rubber

As of now, like literally while I am writing this post, my husband is having his occasional weird unpredictable mood swing depending on the scores. Yes, it's that time of the year, the Championship league/Premier league games. His team is playing tonight. And it's strictly just him and the tv. No other noise, no daily gym time and no wife beside him asking stupid question or worst a very very sensitive question about why does the other team played much better than 'his' team. If I dare to even think about that question or making a statement, I swear I'll be getting a glare before I can even finished my sentences.

Scary sight I tell you.

2 years before, while we were still courting, I used to come over to our friend house in London and joined everyone watching these games. Especially when his team is playing. I'll be lying if I say I'm a big fan of football. I'm not. But I did came and watched it with friends sometimes for fun. At the same time as a supportive girlfriend to him. And over the years I learn to appreciate football just a bit. Ok maybe a little bit. Fine! just a teeny weeny little bit.

In the early stage of learning about it, I usually survived only up until the first 5 minutes before I dozed off to my own wonderland (in this case Italy - just coz). My husband, back then boyfriend was very sweet. He thought I was merely being cute. He even make an effort to find a blanket (while the game was ON) or maybe used his jacket as a cover up while I was sleeping. You would think this stays until you got married. HAHA.

Oh god. This is his time. After a year we got married I started to learn a thing or two about this peculiar behavior of his and how to react with it.

Number 1. I can't talk or make stupid joke about his team. In 2 minutes I'll be banned from the living room.

Number 2. Even if I have a chance to ask a question (to show I actually take interest in it just because I have a mad crush on my husband), I don't think he's even listening.

Number 3. Never try to be a sweet cuddly wife if his team loss. You would think he wants to be hugged and symphatized because that's what we want if something 'bad' happen. Just let him be. He'll live.

Number 4. Just mind my own business.

Now, that is him while watching a very important life and death football match. Do you see that pile of laundry besides him? He was supposed to be folding that up while watching the tv. But nooo.. I never counted on it. Not when a match is on. Most of the time he's such a sweetheart and would fold that up. Believe me I had to sneaked quietly for this picture.

After a few trial and error, and experimenting on his behaviors, I concluded that he shall never be disturbed at this moment. It's ok. For all not married yet but thinking of getting married to an obsessed football man, my advise would be no need to freaked out..This is really really normal. After a while it becomes really therapeutic that the both of you got to have separate time for each other.

I got a bit rasional after a few times thinking. Most of the time my husband has been so dearly to me. I can't imagine life without him. So why make a big fussed about it. After all it's only for about 2 hours. Maybe a bit longer if his team loss. But that definitely is not the reason to make a big deal out of it. We both have our interest so we both deserved our own sweet time once in a while.

This is the time we girls can have fun without him thinking about us.hehe

Hahaha! I like this entry. My bf mmg kaki bola. I plak mmg tak suka bola. Never try to like

True, tak payah la nak pujuk2 dia. Biaq pi je kat dia kalau team dia kalah. Me, being the naughty gf, lagi i sakat dia adalah. Hehe. Tp i salute my bf sbb klu team dia kalah, dia cool je. Dia ckp, biasalah game. Adat lah menang kalah. And dia tak dak nak meroyan ke hape.

I dah boleh imagine macam mana nanti kalau i kawin dgn my bf. Tapi i lagi suka dia tgk bola sorang2. So that i can have my 'me' time.

I honestly do not understand men's obsession with sports. I ...just ... don't... get.. it... lol. I guess it's like women and fashion. Hijabis and hijabs.
