Firenze - Florence

Of all the city that I've visited in Italy, I'd say Florence is definitely one of the city that I love after Siena. why? The ambient. How the city attractiveness is just within walking distance, the way you don't need to worry about transportation, it's clean and how beautifully the tuscany color of the old buildings shine at par with the sun. It's just out of this world. How the people gathered together at night in the heart of Florence to share the lively night life. And to walk around the city and feel save eventhough at night. The famous Ponte Vecchio bridge across the Arno is breathtaking.

On the bridge, you'd can see beautiful women and men dress for high end club around the corner, street artists singing while playing their guitar and the people surrounded him listened to the harmony of the musics that they played. The characteristic overhanging shops lined the bridge atleast since from the 12 century. The open air of fancy Italian restaurant and the glow in lovers face on their honeymoon. Oh how I'd traded anything to be in florence again.

We had our difficulty of finding cheap food. Man, everywhere seems expensive, of course if you converted into RM. But then again, for a honeymoon, Florence sure is the best place for me.

Next Destination - Day 3 Italia

This is a place which a must go when you're in Italy. everybody knows what it is and where it is. Let us guess shall we.

I sure love the buildings in Italy. They have funny color.

Now guess what this building is. This is the place that is a must go.

Yes indeed. Its the leaning tower of Pisa. And getting leaner every year.

Fairuz decided to measure the tower up to his height.

I'm being clever decided to just hold it making it almost the size of my palm. I'm bigger than Fairuz are :)

COMO DI LAGO, ITALIA.

We didn't have much pictures here in the lake Como. Como is situated in the Northern of Italy. Near the Alps border of Swiss and Italy. The lake is well-known for the attractive Villas which was build long ago in year 1500. Some of the Villas belong to celebrities and well-known people or royalties.

The first time I got there I had the impression where you know when you watch an action movies? Where there are mafias selling drugs and drug dealers who are living in a huge Villa facing the beautiful lake. Wakes up in the morning beside a supermodel, went to the huge balcony to stretch and enjoy the view from his mansion?..Aaahh  thats the kind of impression when you arrive in Lake Como. Many Box-office Hollywood movies were made here. Some of them are Star Wars: Attack of the clones, Ocean's twelve and Casino Royale. Now that is where I got my impression. Lake Como = Home of the Mafias.

It is the hot climax of the year, so you can imagine how hot it is at Como. I think its hot just like in Malaysia except its not humid. But Fairuz thinks its hotter. So he can't stand to stayed long there. By 6.00p.m we're already in train back to Milan.

PERSEVERANCE

What is perseverance?

You know that feeling..The feeling where you just don't want to do something....Or you just want to give up.

That feeling that you just absolutely spend. You can't imagine dragging yourself beyond that moment......

My name is Hana' Fedora. You might know me by reading my journal here. Although I was born in the Capital of Malaysia and had gone to a few of decent school to get my primary education, I never really actually got excellent grades. The least I got was no 11/28 that was when I'm already 16 years old. I never had the chance to know how it felt to get a straight A's.

Lucky I got into the University. Having the opportunity, I've decided to dedicated half of my university life doing volunteering job helping the unfortunate students in the rural area. Being one of the motivators, facilitators by spilling everything that I've learn throughout life, throughout studying and throughout working to them to help them improvise. Seeing them in their lifestyle made me realize how lucky I was to have the chance that they didn't have. I learn from them about life, about gratitude, about surviving.

I think to have perseverance is to know exactly how to overcome that feeling every time it hits you.

Don't look at the people around you who are doing things and think that they are made of something more than you. They'd learn some stuff and they're putting it to use and they probably willing to work really hard for it. But they are not made of anything different than you are. Don't get psych out. So long as you're willing to work past the time where you feel you had nothing left inside of you. That's perseverance.

Day 1 - Milano, Italia.

Seriously I am so tired today. Thankfully I've finished up every single errand I need to run today before the starting of our normal life. So I cooked, did laundry, got 'cat' back, clean my room, unpack all the stuff, finished marking up reports, uploaded all the pictures and wallah. Its already midnight and I need my sleep. Otherwise I'll have to take caffeine tomorrow morning.

For whatever minutes left for me tonight I am going to write about my first day in Italia. We arrived in Milan about 6p.m and settled check in into our hotel around 8p.m. We had dinner and spend the night in our room watching TV in Italian as if we understand it. There wasn't much tourist attractions in Milan. The shopping outlet are a bit outskirts from the city centre. The only attraction in the centre was the Duomo (Dome) and the shopping area there. Though it's a bit scary at night but still a beautiful city.

I really do have to sleep now. I'll update again tomorrow about day 2 in Italy.
