I'm 2kg heavier

There are a few great things that made me thankful that I'm from Malaysia. And one of them is food. Yes. Because our country is a diversify country, we tend to have lots and lots of modern and traditional cuisines. Other than separated specialty cuisine from each of the different races here, we also have cuisines that is incorporated into each other and become one whole new cuisine.

The last 5 days that we're home, I've been happily stuffing my face with foods. Luckily for me it isn't fast food but a proper cooked foods like nasi minyak for breakfast (it's Kuantan tradition, it's not the same like in weddings but a better one), cantonese fried mee for lunch, Ikan patin and Ikan bawal for dinner and pretzel for dessert. And because my mother-in-law is one of the organizers of the MAHA expo, by the end of the day she would bring home a lot of great foods from the local entrepreneurs and make us eat them. Guiltily I would have to say. The Maha was a success this year as millions of visitors, local and foreign, were there to explore and enjoy some of Malaysian best dishes picked and selected to be in the expo from all around the country.

Right now I'm in the quest of finding a great restaurant to enjoy my time here. I'm in Kuantan right now and this afternoon we went to Laguna restaurant an Indonesian cuisine restaurant. The food was great! And tomorrow we might drive off to kemaman to taste their best and famous satar and keropok lekor.

And if you're in Kuantan, you should try cantonese fried mee in Hyatt hotel Kampung restaurant. Though it cost RM22 for a plate, they have by far the best cantonese mee I've tasted so far.

Anybody knows a great place to eat in KL?

I'd suggest the delicious in OU (and they have a few other branches) for their desserts. I heart the chocolicious the most. Apart from that, I'm also still trying to figure what other Malaysian food that is tasty here in KL, sigh. If u happen to find one, buzz me hana. I'll join ya :D

kenapa tak lajak sket ke marang or kuala terengganu - kepok lekor 008 dekat kelulut is one of the best, (but that's my second ranking), of course the first and the best would be the famous Kepok leko Bukit Tok Beng (BTB) on d way to KT airport.. :)

Oh ye, Hai Peng kemaman pon not bad after all ( for the coffee and toast bread that is) :)

Hey Hana!!

Don't forget to try the food at Belanga (Kelantanese Restaurant) at Empire, Subang. Try Nasi Tumpang in particular :)

Also, Ramly burger SS15 pun best. And look for Mamak called Melor in SS 19 or USJ 20.

Hehe, shows how much I miss home kan!

Hi Hana, Il Tempio (part of the Tamarind Springs complex in/near Taman TAR) is one of my favourite go-tos for good food and amazing ambience. Also, Fukuharu (Lorong Nibong, just off Jalan Ampang; behind Victoria Station) is, in my opinion, one of the best Japanese restaurants in KL. It is relatively inexpensive and I have never been able to fault their service!

I love your house, by the way. So dreamy, and so many books lying around!

Salam Hana,
Many great places to dining in KL. From cheap to expensive. Kedai Pakcik Bising in AU3, Naili's in Sentul, Murni in SS2 PJ, Chicken Bar-B-Q at One Utama, Waterlily near Dataran Sunway. I am an eater, when you're home, you just post an entry. Will write more. All mouth-watering food and nice place to eat! =)
