Different people have different definition of friendship. For some, it is the trust in an individual that he/she won't hurt you. For others, it's an unconditional love. Somebody who they have their chemistry with. And then there are some out there who feel that friendship is a companionship or somebody who is always there by their side.
People define friendship based on their own personal experiences they have had. I was once one of those who are so friendly, I basically forget some of my old friends names. My dad used to change places and states while he was working under company. Hence, I was forced to change schools atleast once every 2 years. It wasn't easy for me. As I was getting comfortable with certain place, it was time to go for dad to a new place for his new working adventure. Imagine how many friends and bestfriends I've made through out my school life. And mostly have already been forgotten in the verge of being exhausted due to the drudgery of everyday life.
One of my housemate Kristen, while I was doing my master, has this sweet little habits that poke me in the heart. She remembers all the small things,even when I didn't tell her like what songs do I like, she would noticed what song did I sang the night before. She would then burn them in a CD and stick it to my door. She spend the weekend in the flat painting french manicure on Carolina and my nails. Organize flat dinner together. She remembers everyone exact middle names and spell it accurately with the apostrophe. She knows what type of food I can only eat and what not. She sents hand sanitizer from the US just because she knows I love the smell. She keeps us together from the very beginning until today.
Kristen made me realized friendship does not need to be grand. Friendship bond within the details. It is a relation that we share with each other reaches a stage that even when we don't correspond for some time, our friendship remain unscathed. Need not to meet up often to make sure the friendship remain constant. Because it grows better with time.

I am not sure with the definition of friendship as i'm having a hard time with one, like this time around. Sobsssss.. -_-..Kristen is so sweet la Hana, i doubt if i ever managed to have the same feelings like you for having a friend like Kristen.
indeed true friends are rare. :)
True friend is the one that doesn't show but always around, for sickness and happiness.. the ones that we can be ugly with but still be told beautiful, can be ridiculous without being judge; just to name a few.
